2006 Gibson Custom Shop Custom Collection 1968 Les Paul Custom Ebony GH

The Les Paul Custom was introduced in 1954 as the top model of the Les Paul Standard. In 1961, the Les Paul body disappeared from the lineup after various specification changes and a change to the SG shape, but in 1968, the Les Paul body was reintroduced to the market and is still popular today.

This model is different from the Historic Collection and is a special order model of Yamano Gakki with the name of Custom Collection.
The body is made of two-piece maple top and mahogany back, and the neck is made of mahogany with an ebony fingerboard.
The set neck has a deep joint (long tenon), which is a major feature of this model.

The head features split diamond inlays, the hallmark of the best models, Grover rotomatic type pegs, multi-binding, and a truss rod cover with “Les Paul CUSTOM” engraving.

The neck side position marks are also black, and the bridge is an ABR-1 without wires.
Two reliable and proven “57 Classic” pickups are installed.

There are scuffs, scratches, and dings from use, and the gold parts have rust throughout.
The frets are about 70% full, and the truss rod has been confirmed to turn 90 degrees both tightened and loosened, so there are no problems with use. Comes with original hard case. Lacks certificate of authenticity. Two metal top knobs are missing.
