A passive P/J bass that inherits the traditional BB sound, finished in a refreshing limited-edition color.
The BB400 series forms the core of Yamaha’s BB lineup. This passive 4-string model boasts classic specs: an alder body, a 5-piece maple/mahogany neck, and YGD Custom V5 (Alnico V) P/J pickups.

The front pickup delivers thick, focused, Precision-like low end, while the rear pickup provides a clear, Jazz-like attack. Depending on the blend, it handles everything from rock to pop and funk. Combined with high neck rigidity from the 6-bolt miter joint, it offers a stable, responsive tone with excellent sustain.
Exclusive to music stores: Ice Blue color.
Its pale, refreshing blue creates an elegant look that stands out on stage. While a classic model, it offers a special feel that avoids commonality.
Some minor scratches and dents are visible, but there are no significant damage.
