A used 2001 Fender Custom Shop 1956 Stratocaster NOS Black has arrived!
* As the certificate of authenticity is missing, we have determined it was made in 2001 based on the serial number and other specifications.

This is an alder body, maple neck model.
The frets appear to have been replaced from the original ones, swapped out from narrow vintage-style frets to slightly wider frets.
Additionally, it appears the fingerboard was modified and refinished during the refret process, with the fingerboard radius likely adjusted to 9.5″.
The neck shape features the classic ’56 Strat soft V-shape.

The body color is “Black”.
It features an 8-point mounted single-ply white pickguard, giving it a cool, sleek look.

It is equipped with three pickups, believed to be the original black bobbin type.
Controls include a 5-way switch, master volume, front pickup tone, and center pickup tone.
There are signs it was modified to a 3-way switch, but it has now been restored to its original configuration.
It delivers a bright, clear sound characteristic of a Stratocaster, making it a truly appealing instrument.

Regarding its condition, numerous scratches and dents are visible throughout. A large paint crack is present on the body.
Other metal parts show signs of tarnish, and some of the lettering on the control knobs has discolored.
While there are noticeable signs of use and some replacements, it remains in perfectly playable condition.
